One of my favourite summer flowers is the poppy and I love how they just pop up all over the place giving a splash of colour and beauty to fields, gardens and even wasteground.
This pattern is easy and would be suitable for any crochet ability, it is worked in the round. I use abbreviations according to UK crochet language. The finished poppy is approximately 6cm (2.5") in diameter. This poppy could be used as a brooch or hairpiece, to embellish a bag or simply as a floral decoration.
