Crochet Pattern: Aster

Aster means star in Ancient Greek and it was given this name to refer to the shape of its flower head.

The Hungarian revolution on 31st October 1918 became known as the “Aster Revolution” as protesters in Budapest wore this flower.

This pattern is worked in the round and I use abbreviations according to US crochet language. The finished aster is approximately 3” (7.5cm) in diameter. This flower would be beautiful as a brooch or bag embellishment.

This pattern is exclusive to my English Country Garden Book 1 ebook.

All my patterns are available to purchase as PDF files from my Etsy shop and from Ravelry. They are also available for the Kindle on Amazon.
